Legal Notices

Massachusetts General Law requires that certain municipal hearings be publicly noticed in a newspaper of "general circulation."

MGL CH 40A, Section 11. "In all cases where notice of a public hearing is required notice shall be given by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the city or town once in each of two successive weeks, the first publication to be not less than fourteen days before the day of the hearing and by posting such notice in a conspicuous place in the city or town hall for a period of not less than fourteen days before the day of such hearing."

Beginning May 1, 2022, the Town of Needham will publish its legal notices and hearing notices in the Hometown Weekly. In addition, as a community service, the Town also publishes legal notices and hearing notices to this webpage.  Please note that notices will be posted to this page for up to 48 hours following a hearing or deadline after which they maybe removed.
