1. Do you offer volunteer programs in the summer?

Yes, the summer is a very busy time of year and extra help at the Library from volunteers is greatly appreciated. Generally the summer is divided into two consecutive sessions, approximately five to six weeks each. Volunteers will be as¬signed a session depending on scheduling needs and availability.

2. What kinds of documents are necessary to complete if I am using my volunteer hours for a school requirement or for the tax work off program?

The Library requires you to complete the application and maintain a time sheet denoting the number of hours that you have volunteered; however, the school or Council on Aging may require separate paperwork. Please check with your school or COA representative.

3. What if I cannot make one of my scheduled shifts?

Please contact the Library at 781-455-7559 ext 203 or by e-mail if you cannot make your scheduled shift.

4. I have been working sporadically over the last four months as a library volunteer. How do I know how many hours I have accumulated?

At the beginning of each month, a spreadsheet noting the number of cumulative hours through the last calendar month is available at the circulation desk where volunteers sign in.
