Needham Parents Care

The "Needham Parents Care (PDF)" newsletter was developed based on Coalition dialogue with Needham parents of all ages. In consideration of parents as the strongest protective factor for youth, the Needham Public Health Department is committed to engaging this community with an awareness and education campaign for parents of children in grades Kindergarten through 6. Research shows that parents who talk to their children about the risks and health impacts of substance use, are 50% less likely to use.

The "Needham Parents Care (PDF)" newsletter will provide parents with:

  • Hands-on, easy-to-use communication tips for parents on talking with their children about alcohol and other substances.
  • Links to educational, evidence-based articles and scientific data on underage substance use.
