Personnel Board

Members

  • The town moderator appoints the Personnel Board, consisting of five persons for three year, staggered terms.
  • At least two members shall be experienced human resource executives.
  • Any registered voter may be a member, provided that no town employee or town elected official (other than a Town Meeting Member) shall be appointed.

General Purpose

The Personnel Board is established under M.G.L. c.41 s. 108 and C. The board works with the town manager and provides guidance pursuant to the town's human resources systems in accordance with State Laws and the Town Charter. The board also advises Town Meetings when appropriate.
