Books & Bridges
Books and Bridges Icon
Books and Bridges is an interactive two-session program for mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, parent and sons, and parent and daughters who are seeking a venue for sharing thoughts and fostering communication in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We offer several sections of Books and Bridges throughout the year for various age levels including third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades. It is a wonderful opportunity for parents and their children to share in the exciting world of reading and group.

Sessions are offered in the late afternoon or evening and pizza/refreshments are served (so that parents can take a night off from cooking!). In the first session, the group participates in fun activities as well as gets a brief overview of the book. In the second session, the group participates in a discussion of the book, as well as other games/activities for discussion and sharing. Read what past participants have to say about this program.

A $10 fee (per pair) is requested from families using this program to cover the cost of materials (waived in the event of financial need; learn more). Registration forms are available online or by contacting the Youth Commission office.  Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Needham for their support of this program.
