Needham Youth Services
Founded in 1967 by concerned residents, Needham Youth Services (formerly known as the Needham Youth Commission) has earned the respect of the community for its dedication to providing quality services.

Over the past four decades, as the needs of youth and families have evolved, Youth Services has kept pace by offering relevant programs and clinical services. In 2007 we celebrated our 40th anniversary. Learn more about this milestone and the full history of Youth Services.

Youth Services is a department within the Town of Needham's Human Services department along with the Council on Aging and Veterans Services.

Needham Youth Services operates as a mental health resource providing professional and confidential clinical and programmatic services. We provide support, information, and direction to youth and families on issues such as family, social, peer, stress, loss, alcohol, drug, and other youth-related concerns.

We base our services upon a self-help philosophy in which youth and families utilize the expertise of the staff to expand their awareness and understanding, and eventually learn the skills to more effectively take control of their lives.

Community Collaborations:

Needham Youth Services regularly collaborates with school, civic, and community organizations on a variety of projects, presents to groups on youth and family-related issues, and facilitates workshops on a range of mental health topics.  The community’s support of the Youth Services department is critical if we are to remain a stable and effective organization.
