Needham Park and Recreation is hiring!  We are looking to add to our already amazing staff!  If you are interested in one of the following positions, please print, fill out, and submit a Fall/Winter/Spring Application.  For questions, contact Director Patty Carey at  or (781) 455-7550, press 3 at recording. 

Senior Golf League Coordinator
Tuesdays: early May through late October (with some preparation time in April)
League is held on Tuesday mornings. 
Coordinate weekly schedule for up to 64 golfers in league, including being on site during league play.  Requires organizational skills with attention to detail.

Outdoor Youth Tennis Lessons/Quick Start
Saturdays: April 28 - May 19
8:45 AM - 12:15 PM
Provide beginner through intermediate group instruction for children between the ages of 5-7 (Quickstart Tennis) and/or 8-13 (Jr. Tennis).  Maintains standards which promote the health, safety and welfare of all participants. 

Roving Tennis Court Monitor
May - September
Daily visits to tennis courts to check on court conditions, report issues, and insure all players have current tennis badges.  Times are flexible, and expected to be at different times each day.

Women's/Men's Summer Doubles Tennis Leagues Coordinator
June-August
Coordinate weekly schedule for Women's Doubles Tennis League (Thursday nights), and if enough participants, weekly Men's Doubles League (Wednesday nights).  Most of the work is done in pre-season, with schedule revisions when substitutes are needed. 

 

The Park and Recreation Department hires season staff throughout the year to conduct programs offered by the department. Fall/Winter/Spring staff is interviewed and hired on an as needed basis.

Hourly rates are set by the Town of Needham Personnel Board, and all staff members working with children and senior citizens must undergo a criminal record check as part of the application process.

FALL/WINTER/SPRING EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION

Summer 2018
