Level Descriptions
Overview

The listing with classes and times offered each session will be available at least two weeks prior to registration dates. All levels are not offered at each time slot.

Children will advance to the next level during the session if they have ability and maturity to move ahead. Often, more than one session is needed to move to the next level.

Preschool Level

Designed to meet the developmental needs of 3 and 4 year olds. Parents may participate if appropriate. Swim skills are taught through play.

Ages 3 and 4
When two classes are offered at the same time, children will begin together in one class, and be moved into ability groups by end of Day Two.

Age 4
Those who have passed Park and Recreation’s Preschool level and have a certificate may register for Level One and higher.
