A Street/First Ave Fire Hydrant Installation

Temporary Water Shut-Off Scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2019 @ 9 AM

The Water Division will be installing a new fire hydrant on A Street near 250 First Ave. In order for this work to be completed, the water will be temporarily shut-off. Residents will be without water for approximately 8 hours. The Town asks for all residents/businesses to draw sufficient water for the duration of the day before the scheduled shut-off.

The following locations will be affected:
  • 72 A Street - 300 First Ave

Water will be turned back on as soon as possible. The Needham Water & Sewer Division recommends that, when the water supply is returned, residents/businesses should run their cold water tap for a few minutes to ensure that any air and/or rust/sediment that may have entered the water service to your home/building has cleared. Please be sure to do this prior to drinking the water or doing any laundry.

If you have any questions or would like more information on this project, please feel free to stop by the Water Division at DPW, or you may contact Sean Harrington or Chris Seariac, at (781) 455 – 7550.
