Flexible Spending Open Enrollment
CY2017 Open Enrollment Period:
October 24, 2016 through November 18, 2016 (by Noon)

Maximum Election Amounts for 2017 Plan Year:
Health Care FSA:  $2,550
Dependent Care FSA: $5,000

We are excited to announce the open enrollment period for a new or continuing Flexible Spending Benefit Accounts for the plan year beginning January 1, 2017. These plans allow you to pay for out-of-pocket health and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. The Town will continue to work with Benefit Strategies, LLC for the administration of FSA plans.

You may enroll by completing the back of the Enrollment Form and submitting to your respective Human Resources Department. If electing direct deposit, you MUST include a voided check or savings account deposit slip with the enrollment form.

You MUST re-enroll in the flexible spending accounts for medical and/or dependent care each year, regardless of prior enrollment. Only benefit-eligible employees may apply.


Continuing next year will be the rollover provision for your Health Care FSA that allows you to carry over an unused balance of up to $500 to the next plan year (2018) to use for qualified medical expenses.  Dependent Care Accounts do not contain a rollover provision but instead have a grace period for usage of any left-over funds for 2.5 months into the following plan year.
