Trails
The Needham Trails Committee recently completed the Needham Trails Master Plan. One of the goals of the plan was to designate a trails coordinator and to create a Trails Steward Program.

Trails Steward Program
Karen Peirce, assistant director of Needham Park and Recreation, has been designated as the town’s new trails coordinator and she is currently managing the Trail Steward Program, which kicked off in early 2012.

Trail Steward volunteers will be trained how to observe and report trail activities periodically throughout the year. This exciting partnership between volunteers and the Town of Needham will help to improve and enhance the existing trails and potentially create new trails for all to enjoy.
