Household Hazardous Waste Day
The town sponsors one Household Hazardous Waste collection event each year for all Needham residents at no charge. A driver’s license or RTS disposal sticker are required as proof of residency. No materials will be accepted from commercial operations.

The Town of Needham has also entered into reciprocal agreements with six other local municipalities for Household Hazardous Waste collection.  A fee will be assessed when bringing hazardous waste to a town where you are not a resident.  Please view the details here: Reciprocal Household Hazardous Waste Locations

Paint and related products ARE NOT accepted at the same location as the HHW event. All residents may bring paint and related products to the October Paint Collection event held on the 3rd Saturday of the month (October 19th) at the Recycling & Transfer Station (RTS). RTS subscribers may bring paint to any collection day indicated below.  In 2019, due to scheduling issues, October Paint Day and Household Hazardous Waste Day will be on different Saturdays.
