Learn More About Becoming a Tutee
Thank you for your interest in having your child be a part of this program. It can be a terrific and rewarding experience!

Tutee Requirements & Expectations:
  • Tutees must be entering third through eighth grades
  • Tutees must have a need for academic assistance and be open to having a volunteer tutor
  • Tutees will meet with their tutor for one hour a week starting in October through the end of the school year
  • A $45 fee is requested from families / tutees using this program to cover the cost of materials. This fee can be waived in the event of financial need. Learn more about the Fee Assistance Program.
  • Tutees are eligible for two years of tutoring in the Peer Tutor Program

How to Apply:
  • Applications will be accepted May 4th - June 5th.
  • Applications can submitted online at: or downloaded and then submitted using the printable application here.
  • Acceptance is based on a combination of need and a lottery system. Acceptance is NOT first-come, first-served.
  • You will be notified in mid-June if your child has been accepted or waitlisted for the program.
