This fall, Dr Gary Hylander will be presenting a lecture series on the history of Vietnam. With the onset of the Cold War, and the fear of Communist expansion throughout Southeast Asia, the United States became politically and militarily involved in Vietnam from the Eisenhower years to the end of the Ford presidency. The series will conclude with an examination of the current role of Vietnam in world affairs
