Women In World Jazz brings together women of different nationalities with extensive experience in performance and education. The music is easy to relate to, diverse, and danceable. All members of the group are accomplished musicians playing a variety of musical styles ranging from Jazz to world/ethnic. Our international roster directly influences the choice of repertoire. The music and dance we’re featuring are from Cuba, Brazil, Cape Verde, Japan, and the Middle East. The program is an educational, family-friendly presentation that allows audience participation for all ages. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Needham Library.
