The Town of Needham, MA, acting through its Permanent Public Building Committee, invites sealed bids for the demolition of the Ridge Hill Estate manor house and associated four-bay garage located at 463 Charles River Street, Needham, MA 02492, in accordance with Contract Documents prepared by Dore & Whittier Architects Inc., Newburyport, MA. The estimated cost is $462,000. DCAMM Certification is required in Building Demolition and Asbestos Removal.  

Bid documents will be available online at Projectdog.com. Drawings and Specifications will be available to view and download at no charge. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 2:00PAM local time at 463 Charles River Street, Needham MA 02492. After the meeting, a walk around the premise will occur.  All bidders are encouraged to attend.

SEALED BIDS FOR THE GENERAL CONTRACT are due @ 2:00PM on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Public Services Admin. Building, 1st Floor, DPW Admin Window, 500 Dedham Ave, Needham, MA 02492 until the bid deadlines @ 2:00PM and will be publicly opened and read in the Charles River Room immediately afterword.  

Wages are subject to minimum prevailing wage rates.  The Town of Needham reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Needham.
