During the period of Thanksgiving weekend through New Year’s weekend—help light up your neighborhood. It can be as simple as a candle in the window or as ornate and/or creative as you imagine.
The pandemic has certainly crept into our thoughts as the holiday season rolls around. We can all make a list of the celebrations and events that will not happen, but rather than focus on what we won't have, let's focus on what we can do to bring a smile to our families and fellow residents. Needham Lights/Blue Tree Lighting has taken on a new meaning this season. The Blue Tree will be still be lit, but without the usual fanfare. An alternative activity would be to bring Needham Lights to your own neighborhood. We call on all residents and businesses to join us in making Needham Lights a true town-wide event! The theme is non-sectarian - all ideas are welcome to become reality. Show off your decorating skills and creativity for this holiday season. Make it a neighborhood activity by calling or Zooming with your friends and neighbors to collaborate on ideas! Then get in the car or just walk as a family (not a group) around your neighborhood to enjoy the sights!
