News Flash - News from Town Manager/Board of Selectmen
March Storm Information
Report Storm Related Property Damage
Joint State/Federal Preliminary Damage Assessment teams from FEMA and a damage assessment team from the Small Business Administration (SBA) have begun assessing storm damages. These assessment teams are multi-disciplinary and will consist of state personnel from MEMA, FEMA, SBA, Massachusetts National Guard, American Red Cross, and other state officials. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is the first state in New England impacted by the March 2010 Nor’easter to deploy storm damage assessment teams.

The Town of Needham is assisting State/Federal authorities to identify the storm impact to residential and business properties. This information will assist those agencies to determine which resources and assistance may be available to the Town residents and businesses. Self-Report Property Loss/Damage Form
The Town of Needham in assisting State/Federal authorities to identify the storm impact to residential and business properties has created a Self-Report Property Loss/Damage Form. Committee Vacancy
The Needham Board of Selectmen requests applications from residents to serve on the Solid Waste and Recycling Advisory Committee.

The Solid Waste and Recycling Advisory Committee (SWRAC) reviews proposals for changes to general user fees and charges prepared by the Town and makes recommendations to the Board of Selectmen as to whether such proposed rates are adequate to sustain the services to be provided, reviews existing and/or proposed policies and procedures for residential and commercial disposal and makes recommendations to the Department of Public Works or to the Board of Selectmen regarding changes. Town Hall Offices Have Moved
Effective Wednesday, February 17, 2010 the Town Hall offices have been relocated to the new Public Services Administration Building located at 500 Dedham Avenue while the Town Hall undergoes renovation.
