Receive approved notification of demolition form from Health Department for rodent removalA licensed pest control operator report must be filed. If rodents are present, baiting must be done for 10 days.2 weeks
Receive Conservation Commission approvalsHearing is opened within 21 days of receipt of complete application.

Commission issues a decision within 21 days of close of hearing.

There is a 10 day appeal period, after which the applicant must file Order with the Registry of Deeds.
5 to 8 weeks
Schedule smoke detector inspection with Fire DepartmentThis is a separate inspection that is needed both at rough and final stages of the project.1 week
Department of Public Works review of plot planThe Department of Public Works reviews the plot plan submitted to the Building Department for completeness and to review any engineering, utility or street opening needs.1 week
Contractor to secure surety bondIf a street cccupancy permit needs to be issued, then a surety bond is required.1 week
